Frequently Asked Questions
What property owners are asking before land clearing or underbrushing.
Successful projects are the result of clearly defined goals. Here are the questions we answer most often. Please use the contact us if you have other questions.

We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you just need an underbrushing refresh or a heavily forested property mulched. From fence lines and trail cutting to preparing a lot to build a pad for a structure, we get the job done right. We also offer other skid steer services such as rough grading, concrete demo, and heavy dirt and rock moving on properties.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or give us a call (936-900-4700)—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.
-
We combine a thoughtful, goal-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. We live on properties cut out of the forest ourselves, and we understand how to efficiently work with builders, POAs, and HOAs. No project is started without a clear understanding of the outcome you want to achieve. We also take the time to help you understand what trees you have so that you keep the ones you want. Once you remove a small oak, it’s not coming back. Our goal is complete satisfaction, a clear timeline, and a price that doesn’t break the bank.

You can reach us anytime via our contact page, email, or by calling us at 936-900-4700. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. Our estimates rely on four factors: property size (acreage), density of trees and brush, ease of access to the property, and your goal for the property. Iron Star Land and Brush prices jobs by the acre based on those factors. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide you through the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving. We strive to be your partner by understanding your goals thoroughly, providing consultation as needed, and creating a comprehensive plan and transparent quote.
-
Most residential underbrushing can be done in as little as one day. The amount of time depends on acreage, density of brush, ease of access, and your goals for the space. Multiple acres and difficult terrain can take longer.
-
The forestry mulching process enables small trees, brush, and vines to be converted into a layer of natural mulch, which helps protect the soil and can reduce soil erosion and loss of moisture. We can haul away larger trees and stumps or leave wood to be used as firewood if desired.
-
Our team takes every precaution to protect existing desired landscapes in established properties. The mulching equipment is on tracks and is heavy. We work with you to find the best way to access the area to be mulched/cleared and use protective mats to help reduce any damage to lawns and flower beds.
-
The Piney Woods is filled with all types of resilient plant life, so regrowth is inevitable. The time it takes for that to happen depends on the season in which the job is done and the amount of rainfall the area receives. We make every effort to thoroughly mulch the area for long-lasting results. Mowing with a zero-turn can effectively manage vegetation regrowth.
-
After the initial underbrushing to remove the dense plant life, we can come back to help you maintain the desired look you want. Lighter underbrushing can be done much faster and is less costly for the property owner.
